Less than 6 kilometers from the property, is the
entrance of the Zone of Exploitation specifically controlled
for the activities of hunting and fishing - the ZEC Buteux.
Hunt
and fish in a securely controlled area
Zec
Buteux is bordered north by the Petit-Saguenay park. It is
enclosed naturally in the east by the Saguenay River and the
south by the St. Lawrence river. You will benefit from the
abundance of animals on this territory.
Although results may vary from one season to another, moose
hunting is considered to be quite successful.
Amateurs of Bow & arrow can benefit from pre-season moose
hunting. These two weeks of pre-season occurs three weeks
prior to the opening of riffle hunting.
There
is also bear hunting which is done in the spring time
and can be combined with fishing; excellent during this period.
Thanks to its road network, the various sectors of the territory
are accessible by car, truck and 4 wheeler (VTT). This came
to create a multitude of favourable paths for encountering
small games like the crested grouse and American hare.
