General conditions for holiday reservations
General
information:
The
chalet is rented furnished with television and telephone.
The bed linen and the household linens (cloths, covers,
pillow cases, kitchen cloths, towels & face clothes)
are provided.
Note:
The reservation of any client at Chalet de Mésanges
implies their integral acceptance of the general conditions
as described in the present booklet.
Arrival:
It is requested from the client to advise the time of arrival
(for out of town clients: flight number, day & hour
of arrival) so that the owner can organize his personnel
to welcome you at the chalet. The date & meeting place
will be arranged between the owner & client. Transportation
from the airport to the chalet is not ensured by the owner
& thus not included in the price of the reservation.
Obligation
of the owner:
Obliges to provide at the disposal of the client housing
which conforms to the safety requirements as outlined: External
maintenance will be done regularly. To offer an all comfort
chalet (except dish washer). The washing of the cloths,
household linens, bed linens & towels, is the responsibility
of the owner. The owner will not accept any claims after
the reservation period, if they were not reported on site.
Obligation of the client:
The movable furniture and objects should only incur depreciation
from the normal everyday use for which they were intended
for. At the end of the stay, any objects or furniture missing
or that are no longer operational for causes other than
the fair wear and tear, will have to be reimbursed or replaced
by the client; with the approval of the owner. This clause
also applies to the household linens, curtains/blinds and
the building in general. It will be retained as follows:
a) The value of the broken or cracked objects.
b) The price of washing or cleaning the carpets, covers,
mattresses, bed linens etc., which have been stained.
The
customer obliges to use the furniture and objects furnished
by the chalet for the use in which they were intended and
in the areas where they were placed. The client is inhibited
to transport them out of the chalet or move them from their
initial space.
The
customer is obliged to abstain from throwing in the sinks,
bathtub, bidet, laundry room, toilette, showers etc…any
objects likely to block the drains, or damage them. This
will result in a fee in order to have them repaired.
At the
time the chalet is occupied, under no circumstance may there
be a number greater than that indicated on the reservation
form, unless otherwise agreed upon by the owner. The client
will have to allow for urgent maintenance work to be carried
out, in the designated places. The client should not exceed
the limits of the property as there is a sufficient amount
of space available (more than one hectare and a half). It
is forbidden to organize gatherings and or receptions (marriage
or anniversaries) without the agreement of the owner.
Insurance:
The owner of the chalet holds civil liability insurance
(obligatory) for 2 (two) million dollars. The government
of the Quebec tourism organization attributes a license
which imposes 2 criteria’s of comfort and safety for
the reservation. Better to avoid reserving a chalet or property
that cannot provide a certificate of civil liability insurance
for two million dollars. Insurance does not cover the clients
in the event of theft (personal objects). Lodging capacity:
Renting is established for a maximum and precise number
of people. If the number of people exceeds the accepted
amount as indicated in the description, the owner can: Break
the reservation contract (without any reimbursement); Refuse
the additional people; Claim the lump sum by person by week.
Early
departure:
In the event of early departure by the client, there will
be no reimbursement.
Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation by the
client, the down payment will not be refunded.
Utilization
of the area:
A
guided tour of the chalet will be provided. The client is
held liable for being known as a "good father of the
family" which is to make sure that everyone respects
the area. During the clients stay & until their departure,
they are in charge of keeping the chalet neat & clean.

Departure:
It is requested from the client to return the chalet in
the state of cleanliness in which it was found. If the chalet
is found in a state of uncleanliness, an amount of 100 $
will be retained from the safety deposit.
